Kiwi Ross is only 15 1/2 years old… He got his motorcycle endorsement 3 days before Sturgis. For initiation, he rode 500 miles to the Rally. During the event, he learned the skills of swerving and braking on the canyon roads of the Black Hills.

Then roamed 2000 miles more in the plains of South Dakota. And today, front of me  and of his proud parents (of course, you recognized father Mike Thomas and mother Carolyn. his did his first 2 runs on the 3 miles short track. He was piloting the only bike he has ever rode since he was legally authorized to do so. A Kiwi Indian Bobber (47 engine on 38 frame), 88″, 1650cc in the Class Modified Fuel 1650. Proudly, he showed his Bub Speed Trials time slip. 1st run: 84.164. Return. 95.775 mph.

This is the first of his Bonneville runs...But won't be his last!
