Mike, I´m very happy with the Kiwi 84" engine you built for me! The running in procedure is done and I tried out max speed: see the attached pic (100 mph). I love the power the motor has especially when speeding up. Actually I do regularly trips to my job that is about 40 miles away from home. Every time I use the Chief I have a big smile on my face.

For ten months, I tried to get the bike running. I used all resources available to me, I found myself talking with Mike Thomas at Kiwi Indian more and more. He was always willing to help me figure out the next step on my rebuild just so that another one of these American classics could get back on the road. Because of this passion, and his years of experience in Indian restorations and in developing/testing his own product line, I decided to ship my bike to him in California. Once Mike started breaking down my bike, we finally learned how poorly it had been "restored." In Mike's words, there were potential "catastrophic failures" from the front hub to the rear brake. Mike and his team disassembled the entire bike and restored it from the ground up. Throughout the process, Mike was quick with updates and helped me make decisions regarding modern upgrades and restoration components. I got the bike back in February, and living in Wisconsin, February is not a good motorcycling month. In the end, sending my Indian to Mike and his team at Kiwi Motorcycle was one of the best decisions I have made after buying the beast. I would like to thank Mike and his team for their dedication and passion towards these classics. They can rest assured that there is a very happy Indian owner somewhere in Wisconsin gliding through the countryside on an beautifully restored machine.
